The new GDPR legislation is nearly here and comes into force on 25 May 2018. Whether you are prepared or not, the new rules are coming and GDPR remains a source of confusion and an area of concern for many practices, with a large number still not fully aware of what they need to do before the deadline.
Last week, GDPR specialist Stephen McAlpine, from our training partner Park Seminars, presented a live one hour webinar where he shared his considerable experience on this hot topic. Stephen looked at some of the key issues that accountants need to be aware of, cleared up some common misconceptions and provided some practical guidance on steps that can be easily implemented in the short term to ensure firms can demonstrate that they will be compliant. He also kindly provided an example Data Protection Policy template that you can refer to and edit for use within your own business should you wish to do so.
