Our Spring Accounting Update this year took place virtually as eight sessions during March and was enjoyed by over 475 members of the Lifecycle accountancy community.
We were delighted to welcome back compliance expert Val Steward for her fifth year with us. Always informative, Val’s 90 minute sessions provided some hugely valuable advice to accountants in practice on some of the key accounting and regulatory issues that professionals need to be aware of, especially in these unprecedented times of the Covid pandemic.
One of the main challenges facing the profession is that accountants will now, for the first time, be preparing accounts that have to deal with financial support measures related to Covid and the treatment of these is new and, in some cases, potentially confusing. Val gives some really practical guidance on how to deal correctly with these tricky issues, some of which were highlighted in our interview with her last month.
