3rd May 2019
Lifecycle is preparing to take its latest programme of CPD seminars on the road in June, and there’s still time for accountants to book their place to learn more about the most topical issues affecting the accounting profession today.
Lifecycle partner and compliance expert Val Steward will lead each of the 13 sessions, which are free to attend and qualify for 1.5hours CPD.
She will discuss the key changes and provide some practical insights on the detailed amendments to FRS 102 that will impact on financial statements. Val will also examine the changes to the disclosure requirements of FRS 105 for micro-entities in the UK.
Developed in conclusion to the Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC) triennial review, these amendments apply for the accounting period starting on or after 1st January this year.
Key areas that Val will cover within the sessions include:
- The key amendments and how they will impact on financial statements
- The common issues that continue to be reported on accounts
- Brexit considerations
Val will also provide some practical guidance on a number of regulatory and compliance matters, including:
- The current position on Anti-Money Laundering as a result of regulation introduced by the Office for Professional Body Anti-Money Laundering (OPBAS) and challenges under GDPR
- Practice protection and the common issues that can result in claims as well as how to help protect against them
Spanning Southampton to Glasgow, Lifecycle is hosting the 13 sessions as a combination of breakfast and afternoon events. Each will qualify for 1.5 hours CPD.
