LEADING BUSINESS ADVISORY GROUP OPENS NEW OFFICE IN CHESTER

18th June 2020

Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group is opening an office in Chester to better support the needs and aspirations of SMEs in the city.

The investment in the Abbey Square office will enable Leonard Curtis to work more closely with Chester-based and wider North Wales businesses, their stakeholders and advisers to help meet the financial and operational challenges faced at every stage of a business’ lifecycle.

Donna Crompton will be leading the introductions to Leonard Curtis’s full service offering including experts in corporate and personal insolvency, funding and finance solutions together with legal services. She brings with her 22 years’ experience of business restructuring and recovery and has the back up of two highly rated insolvency practitioners – David Moore and Lisa Ion – plus a full support team.

She said: “Since we opened our Liverpool operation seven years ago we have gradually increased our professional services and wider business connections in Chester and the surrounding areas. Having a proper foothold in the city will help us to unlock more opportunities in Chester and hopefully in time North Wales. We know people like to deal with locally based people.”

The Chester office will take Leonard Curtis to 19 branches nationally and strengthen the company’s North West footprint, adding to existing locations in Bury, Preston, Liverpool and Manchester, where the company has its UK HQ,  giving a unique five-office overview of the region’s business profile, needs and challenges.

Donna again: “Chester adds to an excellent geographical spread and, more importantly, access to  considerable back-up when needed.”

Group Director Daniel Booth commented: “We think this is a good time to be investing in Chester city centre and providing access for local businesses to our particular expertise, helping them to get through this crisis and come back fighting.  So if it’s managing a drop in sales, cash flow issues or supply chain interruption we can supply proven solutions focused on immediate recovery and the longer term.”

Donna added: “We know Chester has a worldwide reputation for excellence in hospitality and leisure, as well as a robust professional services sector and thriving corporate players, like Airbus and others. We will be looking to play our role in the city’s future and its successful return from the pandemic in time.”

From the new Chester office Donna will be looking to introduce more city centre accountants to Lifecycle, a unique, free to join network run by the professional services group, which has recruited over 2600 members UK-wide since its launch in 2016.  It helps accountants offer their clients the specialist services they need at every stage of their business lives.
